How to get certified

To certify a product with AllergyCertified our team of toxicologist and pharmacists has to make a thorough risk assessment. To do so we require information regarding the product’s content.

.

So you will need to fill in an Applications scheme and a Formulation template for each product and add it to Redmine(the system we work in). We then make an allergy assessment and all information given to us will be held confidential and only be used for the assessment. If needed, we can make a secrecy agreement for this.

Redmine is a secure database,  and  in order to work with us we must create you an account in Redmine.

When you have an account you can log in with a secure password  and add the information we need for our assessment.

We will send you manual how to use Redmine and you can also find a video here:

The risk assessment can be described by four steps:

  • Step 1: The chemical names (INCI) of all the ingredients to make sure there are no allergens in the product.
  • Step 2: The CAS numbers of all the ingredients in order to identify the specific chemical substances.
  • Step 3: The concentrations (%) of each ingredient as some are only allergenic in high concentrations.
  • Step 4: Information regarding impurities and TDS (Technical data sheet) of all the ingredients to ensure there is no allergens hidden in the raw materials.

Once a product has been certified you can use the AllergyCertified logo on this product.
This will make it easy for the consumer to choose the products that will minimalize the risk of developing skin allergy.

Please be aware that depending on how busy we are, it can take up to three weeks before your product has been certified.
